Syrian Airlines officially announced the resumption of direct flights between Syria and the UAE, starting next Sunday, to both Dubai and Sharjah in the first phase.
The airline stated on its official Facebook page that four weekly flights will currently be operated between Damascus and Dubai, on Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with the intention of increasing this to seven flights per week soon. Flights to Sharjah will also be operated on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, with efforts to increase the frequency to a daily flight. Flights from Damascus to Abu Dhabi will be operated on Tuesdays. and Friday.
Syrian Airlines confirmed that it is making every effort to expand its flight network as soon as possible, once it receives the necessary approvals from the relevant authorities to expand the number of flights, calling on travelers to contact its offices inside and outside Syria for more information.
The General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates announced on April 14 the resumption of flights to the Syrian Arab Republic, adding that “joint coordination is currently underway to complete the necessary procedures to resume flights between the two countries.”
On January 8, Syrian Airlines issued a circular confirming the suspension of air traffic between Syria and the UAE.
